Clothes Line, Tokyo

This concept for a store in Tokyo echoes the domestic clothes line, using a mechanism (a pulley) to adapt to the changing requirements of a shop.  Display cases used for mannequins protrude out onto the pavement. Inside, similar display cases fitted with obscured glass are used as changing rooms. The rear yard is also used for displaying clothes, blurring the lines between display and human inhabitation, shop and domestic space.
