The Bauhaus Museum, Dessau

Drawing on Kandinsky’s associations between colour and geometry, the three pure geometries were the basis for this proposal and can be seen in the form of cubic corten steel structures, triangular lawn areas and a curved timber wall. Abstracted physical profiles of each of the three Bauhaus directors (Mies, Meyer and Gropius) form sculptural doorways at each entrance. A Bauhaus colour wheel informs a feature wall.
